On the Analytic Properties of Intertwining Operators I: Global Normalizing Factors

چکیده
We provide a uniform estimate for the L-norm (over any interval of bounded length) of the logarithmic derivatives of global normalizing factors associated to intertwining operators for the following reductive groups over number fields: inner forms of GL(n); quasi-split classical groups and their similitude groups; the exceptional group G2. This estimate is a key ingredient in the analysis of the spectral side of Arthur’s trace formula. In particular, it is applicable to the limit multiplicity problem studied by the authors in earlier papers.

On the analytic properties of intertwining operators I: global normalizing factors
We provide a uniform estimate for the $L^1$-norm (over any interval of bounded length) of the logarithmic derivatives of global normalizing factors associated to intertwining operators for the following reductive groups over number fields: inner forms of $operatorname{GL}(n)$; quasi-split classical groups and their similitude groups; the exceptional group $G_2$. This estimate is a key in...
متن کاملDuality and the normalization of standard intertwining operators
Normalized standard intertwining operators associated to an induced representation and its dual (dual in the sense ofAubert) arise in work on a conjecture ofArthur about R-groups. The purpose of this paper is to address the question of relating the normalizing factors used.
متن کاملAn S3-symmetry of the Jacobi identity for intertwining operator algebras
We prove an S3-symmetry of the Jacobi identity for intertwining operator algebras. Since this Jacobi identity involves the braiding and fusing isomorphisms satisfying the genus-zero Moore–Seiberg equations, our proof uses not only the basic properties of intertwining operators, but also the properties of braiding and fusing isomorphisms and the genus-zero Moore–Seiberg equations. Our proof depe...
متن کاملThe spectral properties of differential operators with matrix coefficients on elliptic systems with boundary conditions
Let $$(Lv)(t)=sum^{n} _{i,j=1} (-1)^{j} d_{j} left( s^{2alpha}(t) b_{ij}(t) mu(t) d_{i}v(t)right),$$ be a non-selfadjoint differential operator on the Hilbert space $L_{2}(Omega)$ with Dirichlet-type boundary conditions. In continuing of papers [10-12], let the conditions made on the operator $ L$ be sufficiently more general than [11] and [12] as defined in Section $1$. In this paper, we estim...
متن کاملIntertwining Relations and Extended Eigenvalues for Analytic Toeplitz Operators
We study the intertwining relation XTφ = TψX where Tφ and Tψ are the Toeplitz operators induced on the Hardy space H 2 by analytic functions φ and ψ, bounded on the open unit disc U, and X is a nonzero bounded linear operator on H. Our work centers on the connection between intertwining and the image containment ψ(U) ⊂ φ(U), as well as on the nature of the intertwining operator X. We use our re...
